Hello all,
As stated in my ‘About’ page I am blessed to have grown up in Big Sur, Ca~ a pristine 90-mile stretch of coastline between SF & LA. My birthday was last Thursday, May 17. To celebrate, my significant other and I decided to spend a night at the beautiful Ventana Big Sur resort. Ventana is a previous account of CWD.
My wonderful day started with a calming massage at the onsite spa, Spa Alila. Of the many spas I’ve attended, this spa is one of my favorites. I love the mellow nature-inspired theme. And the ocean-view treatment rooms are a real bonus. My massage therapist, and former co-worker Leslie was fantastic as always. This relaxing massage set the tone for a mellow and relaxing day.
Although it was drizzly in Carmel today, the sun was shining at beautiful Ventana. My beau & I took advantage of this and enjoyed a few hours of sun by the pool. Got some much needed vitamin D, too.
Our sunbathing session was followed with some light afternoon reading and lounging, exploring the property gardens, wine and cheese at check in hour, and lastly a refreshing sunset Infiniti hot tub.
I feel so refreshed and ready for my work week. This small break from reality is really a personal testament and reminder to take it easy and have a change of scenery whenever possible.
I can't thank thank the Ventana staff and management enough for our special stay and new memories. I’m very excited to see what the next year brings ✨💛
